'Surrendering' Saved My Life with Shannon Donohoe-Simpson on the Kid Carson Show

A masterclass in resilience. Shannon has faced breast cancer, a double mastectomy, breast implant illness, parenting through an autism diagnosis, and divorce.

Instead of hardening, she softened into community, learned to ask for help, and rebuilt her life with presence and purpose.

Hit play if you need hope, tools, and a reminder that joy is waiting on the other side of the hard stuff.

How Do You Choose Joy After Trauma

In this deeply honest and heartfelt conversation, I join Daniel Kobryner to explore healing, truth, trauma, and the courageous journey back to joy. Shannon shares her personal experiences with cancer, motherhood, autism, heartbreak, and emotional healing, revealing how suppressed emotions can shape our lives—and how speaking our truth can begin to set us free. Together, they discuss the importance of being seen, heard, and understood, while exploring what it truly means to live authentically. This powerful episode offers hope, healing, and a reminder that even after life’s hardest moments, joy is still possible.

Can You Rebuild After Trauma? A podcast with Terrain Lebeau

I had the incredible opportunity to sit down with Terrain Lebeau from Toronto on The Behind The Shades Show for a deeply honest conversation called Can You Rebuild After Trauma?

We talked about childhood trauma, people pleasing, trusting ourselves, learning to listen when our bodies are trying to tell us something, and the courage it takes to begin living authentically. We explored what happens when we stop living the life others expect of us and start living in alignment with our truth instead.

A vulnerable, heartfelt, and powerful conversation about healing, self trust, and rebuilding after trauma. Grateful for the opportunity to share my story.

Comox Valley resident shares healing journey following cancer diagnosis

When Shannon Donohoe-Simpson was diagnosed with a rare form of breast cancer in her thirties, she says it was a surprise. “ I was that person that was very healthy,” she said. “I was really into personal training and I thought I ate really healthy. So when I was diagnosed with cancer, I know not just myself, but quite a few of my friends and my family were like, ‘how is Shannon diagnosed with cancer? She’s so healthy, this doesn’t make sense.’” Donohoe-Simpson says community was key in helping her through the early days following her diagnosis.

Radical Transformation in the Face of Adversary - A Replay with Shannon Donohoe-Simpson

From the deepest place in my heart, it is my true pleasure to share the re-release of this episode with my dear friend, Mary Lee, on The Menopause Disruptor Podcast.

The timing feels so meaningful. Today marks the first day of fall—a day of equal day and equal night, a season of balance, transition, and letting go. As the leaves begin to fall, we are reminded that release is also part of growth, and that in both the masculine and feminine, there is harmony to be found.

And it isn’t by mistake that this is episode 88. Two infinity symbols—an endless flow of cycles, beginnings, and renewal. For me, infinity holds such deep meaning, a reminder that even in the depths of challenge, transformation is always unfolding.

The past few years have taken me into profound depths, but allowing myself to truly feel those depths has opened me to joy in a way I never imagined possible. It is with so much gratitude that I offer this episode to you today. Please share with the people you love if you feel called.
